One of the questions I am asked most frequently is something about where to play--where are the softest games, where can one make the most money, which are the best rooms, etc. Note that those are not equivalent questions.

An armed robbery took place at the Sahara Hotel & Casino last Friday. Around 6 p.m. on Dec. 19, someone held up the poker room cashier and walked away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Almost 18 months ago, I wrote a post titled "Where are the worst dealers in town?" The answer, I concluded, was the Sahara.
I forgot to tell you about another little incident from the Mirage Saturday night. Because it's a place I don't visit often (once or twice a year), I couldn't remember if they had any jackpots that I needed to be aware of--bad beats, high hands, etc. So I asked the dealer.
One of the questions that sometimes pops up in emails or the comments is where I play most frequently. So as I was entering some data in my spreadsheets just now, I thought I'd check the records and see.
The dealers at the Luxor continue to strive mightily to wrest the "worst dealers in town" status from the Sahara bunch. They seem to hit new lows of unprofessionalism every time I go there.
An idea occurred to me recently. I wanted to challenge myself to play and win in the whole row of Harrah's* properties on the Strip, all in one day. As I thought about it more, the idea evolved into a challenge that I will open up to all readers.
