This final table at Caesars Palace included no less than 2009 WSOPC Harrah's Rincon champ Dwyte Pilgrim, 2008 WSOP bracelet winner Matt Graham, pro circuit cash machine Matt Brady and the man with more WSOPC gold rings than anyone else in the game, Men "The Master" Nguyen.
However, it was former WPT L.A. Poker Classic and WPT Borgata Poker Classic champ Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi that gave Bonomo the most trouble, forcing him to endure a four hour heads-up battle for the title.
"It felt like I was playing him for ages," The Bodog Poker pro said after the win. "Mizrachi played great. It was a brutal match."
The back and forth battle lasted more than 100 hands with the lead changing hands several times before a flush over flush debacle ended it all.
"Playing heads-up was really exhausting," Bonomo said. "Every hand I played put me in a tough decision. That made it even more difficult. So, to win this event makes it all the more meaningful to me to have earned it this way."
Mizrachi took home $143,512 for second.
The WSOP Circuit's fifth season concludes at Harrah's New Orleans May 7 to 21. The 2009 World Series of Poker begins May 27.
